An egyptian blogger jailed for four Years
I read with mixed feelings, the story of an egyptian adolescent, who was convicted by an egyptian court on account of some inscriptions on his blog spot. Though i was not privileged to read the indictable words, but they were alleged to be capable of inciting the public as well as causing breach of public peace and order,as they attacked Islamic principles and the government alike.. while, i ll rather not encourage a rebellious spirit in a citizen of the convict's age (if being unmindful of his academic status-an undergraduate of the highly revered Al-azar University), I will still fail to neglect to reiterate here, the constitutional freedom of expression guaranteed every human irrespective of his jurisdiction, as any provision to the contrary is not only barbaric but also falls short of international standards.
